having a hilarious, and totally one-sided conversation with Kit Fishto about cute boys from the internet.
discovering that instead of having to pay $260 for a new computer battery, I can get one for $60.
finally remembering to make an appointment so that the nice tax people will do my taxes for me.
the lovely smells radiating from my kitchen.
my new bamboo countertop.

finding the elusive cutting boards that I needed to create a bamboo countertop.
not having to pay for the cutting boards because I had a gift card.
hanging out with a friend from college who is visiting for the week.

ordering a sandwich with bacon on it and not feeling even the slightest bit guilty.
enjoying every last bite of that sandwich.
searching for tiny bacon morsels that may have escaped out of the sandwich and onto the plate.

mimosas and dark chocolate, by myself, with only the grey, muted and rain soaked light from outside illuminating my apartment.
feeling melancholy and having that be just fine.
knit blankets and couches and napping.
realizing that no one thinks I’m weak for admitting when things aren’t good.
that being vulnerable can be beautiful.

saying I wanted three of the cookies my friend made and then actually eating seven and not feeling guilty about it.
not only avoiding judgement from the aforementioned friend, but also being told to take home more cookies for later.
cookies for supper
