  5. the fact that in two weeks my mom will get to see the fantastic life I’ve created for myself in Vancouver for the first time.

  1. getting checked out by all of the firemen in the fire truck.
  2. the crowd of people watching the baker make bread.
  3. three of the five men standing in front of the gay bar wearing purple shirts.
  4. not having a can opener, but still managing to open the can with a hammer and not getting any tomato soup on my white shirt.
  5. getting a raise!
