It is not a happy time in my city.  I never thought I would ever experience something like this in my lifetime.  And it makes me so fucking sad.

1. that many of the people I care about no longer live downtown.
2. that everyone else is safe.
3. all of the people who are just as ashamed as I am.
4. the moment when the door opened and my boyfriend came home.
5. tomorrow being a new day.
