Today marks my sixth month anniversary of taking a photograph everyday. For sixth months, I have carried a camera with me everywhere, something that I have been historically bad at since I started taking pictures. Every photograph that I have posted here has been taken that day, no exceptions. If I wasn’t able to get to a computer that day, I selected the photo I wanted to use and waited until I could post it. Sometimes the pictures were great. Sometimes I didn’t leave my apartment all day so the internet got to see a picture of tinfoil.
In honour of this anniversary, I will be giving one of you lucky readers a matted 5 x 7 print of your favourite daily photo. All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me which photograph is your favourite and why. Make sure you include the date the photo was posted when you comment! There are no restrictions; I will gladly send this gift anywhere in the world.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 at 10pm (Pacific Standard Time).
Okay, this was really, really hard, because I already have a stack of them that I can’t choose among, and I’m not even halfway through your archives. But then, I found it – the One! “a bowl full of butterflies” from June 7, 2009. The reason I REALLY REALLY REALLY want this photo, is that I’m doing my master’s thesis on insect imagery in literature, and I’m hoping that this photo can be my muse, perched jauntily on my computer desk, urging me to finish my thesis already, before I turn into a bowl full of dead butterflies. Or something like that. Pick me, pick me, pick me!!
the July 30th one where all those boats are lined up and there is a gorgeous view… I live in Maine and I love coastal scenes so that really made the difference for me… although the white flowers of July 14th were lovely too… enjoyed checking out your daily photos, very inspiring and very unique too!~
The one with the pigeon and its menacing shadow!
I like the photo from June 23rd. I like this one because I imagine the history and workmanship and how many things in the world have changed around it since it was first assembled. I enjoy seeing all of your photos and sometimes the subject scares me as I have the same type of photos in my collection.
The six of hearts from May, please. Because a redneck girl plays her heart when she’s down on her luck. Obviously.
